Some key facts about myself

First of all the most important thing about  myself is: I'm an art-lover  through and through. I love art eversince and a life without art is unimaginable  for me.  When I was about 16 years old I  had the opportunity  to get a  deeper  insight  into  the  life  and the  work  of a  famous german artist.  Sometimes he read  excerpts of his  diarys  to us  and I was  fascinated how intensely he perceived his surrounding... nature, creatures, coulours and even the "ugly" and "disgusting" things arround us.  One day he gave  me an etching of a  "Don Quijote"-scene as a gift and this was at least the first serious piece of art I  could  call  my own.

This  was  my first piece of art and it founded  my collection, which is continously  growing larger and larger since  this  moment. Over  the  years I also  discovered  the  art which  is all  around  us in the cities: Street Art. I was never a great fan of tags or bombings, but I always loved graffiti with artistic aspiration and with strong messages.

Today I'm a lover and collector of many talented street artists, such as Vhils, Pichiavo, Fake, Jef Aerosol, Ernest Zacharevic and  many,  many  more. And  of  course  I'm  a  great  fan  of Banksy's art, as he is in my opinion "the leader" of this artistic movement insofar as he put it into  the  focus of our today's  art world. The circumstances why I snatched my first piece of my Banksy-collection was based on  another  passion I'm into since I  was a kid, my passion for music. The most  satisfying  way  of listening music  for me was  always to  put a record with a beloved piece of music on  the platter  and just "dive" into it. That's why I always tried  to  get  a  copy  of  the vinyl with the music I loved and this hasn't changed until today either. Maybe  seven  or  eight   years  ago  I  noticed,  that   there are  several  records with Banksy artworks  on  the  cover  around  and  I thought  this might  be a good  opportunity to  own a  real  piece  of  Banksy,  as  it  was  impossible  for  me   to   pay  the  amount  for  an original Banksy print or canvas at this time.... and still.

My Banksy Art Cover Collection started  with  the Peanut Butter Wolf - Badmeaningood Vol. 3, which I snatched for less than  20  Euro  on  Discogs. Today  I count  99  different  records  and  123  CDs  with  Banksy artwork   either   on   the   cover,   on  the  label  or  on  the  CD  and  a whole bunch of DVDs, books, magazines   and   other   collectibles   related    to    the  elusive   artist   known   as   Banksy.
But  at  least  just  to  collect  the  things  which  are  already  arround  and  well  known  in the collector's  community  was not enough  for me. Especially concerning records I started the hunt   for   covers   with   Banksy   artworks  which  were   not  yet  noticed  by  the  Banksy Cover Art collector's community.  In some  times  this hunt  even actually faded into an obsession and it cost me innumerable  hours, days and weeks  of lifetime. But the result was, that I can claim the finding of  several  Banksy art cover records  for  me,  such  as  the "Warrior Soul - Destroy The War Machine", "Hoxton Whores  -  I'm not your friend",  "STREETART001  by Henchman & Majistrate" and  many  more, which  are now  inherent  part of  some  of  the  most important Banksy  artwork cover  collections in the world.  Some records I physically held in my hands are now travelling around the world from one exhibition to  another and getting noticed and admired by thousands of people. A strong evidence for me that this was pretty much worth the effort.
